JEE full form is Joint Entrance Examination. It is a national-level entrance exam that students give before engineering.
To get admission to engineering, although there are many exams at the state level, the exam to be taken at the national level is the JEE exam.
JEE is conducted 2 times every year by CBSE. Just a few years ago JEE was divided into 2 parts, JEE Main and JEE Advanced.
1. JEE Main
Who can give JEE Main?
JEE Main Exam can give students who have passed or studying in the 12th class with Physics, Chemistry, and Math. If a student brings a good mark, he gets admission to colleges like NIT or IIT.
Apart from this, students who score fewer marks also get admission to a good engineering college, which means that the student’s exam results will be as good as the good college.
JEE exam is online and there is a total of 90 questions in the exam. The total marks for this exam are 360mark. Out of this question, Physics, Chemistry, and Math each have 30 questions.
Questions are objective type and each question has four answers, out of which one has to choose the right answer. And every wrong answer gets a 1/4 mark. The wrong answer has a negative marking.
How many times can JEE main be given?
When a student studies in 12th, he can give JEE Main for the next 3 years. It took 2 times every year, so a student can give it 6 times at most.
2. JEE Advance
Like JEE Main, JEE Advanced is an entrance exam to be taken for admission to college. But there is a lot of difference between JEE Main and Advanced. You can assume that this is the next level of JEE Main.
The students who participate are the top 150000 students of JEE Main. And successful students get admission to colleges like IIT(Indian Institutes of Technology).
Who can give JEE Advance?
General and OBC students need at least a 75% mark and SC/ST and PWD students need a 65% mark to give this exam.
Along with that, their JEE Main rank should be within 1.5 lakh. In this, the age of the student should be within 25 years and any student can give this exam for a maximum period of 2 years.
Which college students get admission after JEE Advanced?
After clearing JEE(Full form is ), one gets admission to a big college like IIT and along with that, there are very well-known colleges in India. Like

It is considered to be one of the toughest exams in India and a lot of hard work is required to clear it. This exam is online and also has negative markings like the JEE Mains exam.
This exam is done in two layers, in each stage, there is a physics, chemistry, and math paper. The marking pattern is the same as the JEE main.
